Ceiling Fan Installation & Replacement
A ceiling fan is a moving load. A standard light box is not rated to carry one, and a fan hung on the wrong box will eventually loosen, wobble and come down. Every fan we install goes on a fan-rated box with proper support.

Common questions
Can you put a fan where there is only a light?
Yes. The box gets swapped for a fan-rated one, which usually means a small access opening near the fixture. We tell you first.
What size fan for my room?
Roughly: 42 inches for a bedroom, 52 for a living room, and two smaller fans instead of one big one in a long room.
Outdoors on a lanai?
It needs a damp-rated fan at minimum, and wet-rated if rain reaches it. An indoor fan outdoors will rust and drop its blades.
