Receptacles wear out. A plug that falls out of an outlet under its own weight is a loose contact, and loose contacts make heat. It is a small repair that prevents a large problem, and most homes have several.

Common questions
My GFCI keeps tripping. Is it faulty?
Sometimes. More often it is doing its job and there is moisture or a failing appliance on the circuit. Worth finding out which before replacing it.
Can you make my two-prong outlets three-prong?
Only correctly: either run a ground, or install GFCI protection and label it as required. Just changing the receptacle is unsafe and is a code violation.
How many outlets can I add to a circuit?
It depends on what is already on it. We check the load before adding, which is the step that gets skipped.
